Back from Crafty Weekend all fired up

Weekend away with fellow crafters who were the most focused of all women, sharing ideas, generous in spirit and all driven to create the most wonderful of things.
The bag above is inspired by Sooz
I just love the lining fabric, don't remember where i got it but it looks great with the denim from Savers!
The little owl came from a pattern whilst surfing,he is made from some hand dyed felt that I had in my stash. Meanwhile I'm going to try to crochet. Inspired by this woman
Seeing all the beautiful yarns that are available has even made me think I could knit something for myself - inspiration comes from here. Oh thank you for welcoming me into your circle.

However, the washing is not done, the floors are a mess, but the children are fed and nurtured and I am happy creating.

How much crap can one girl take?

Maybe it's the hormones but why do I feel that the world makes less and less sense, only my children, my husband and my friends seem to be what matters, the rest can go to hell as they say.
My puppy was attacked at dog obedience school, I think I came off the worst, trauma, not wanting to go back, wondering why the other handler froze when clearly her dog started to growl and take a dominant stance, why did I have to growl at her dog first, why was she silent through the whole ordeal, why did I leave with my tail between my legs? Sometimes I think so many of us really are with out the right tools for this life. Dog then went to the vet who tells me the lump on his abdomen needs surgery.OMG what next?

Well Etsy that's what and the encouraging words of all bloggers and etsyites out there, thanks to Peasoup for starting me on this journey. Check out my site I would love whatever feedback you care to leave.
And here's what I said bravely to the 7 year old, tomorrow is another day and the sun will shine and there will be laughter and love.

New Year musings

Well we're all back from QLD and much wetter for it.
Settling back in and took a couple of days at Torquay just me and the kids better weather than up north.

Took the muttley to first obedience class for the year and sprained my lower back = agony, day two still can't dry my toes or pick anything up from the floor, the children are working very hard.

Did manage to be a bit crafty and make a doggy do bag holder.

Ist born made a leather keeper for his amethyst and very proud he was too, we also hand dyed some yarn that I will attempt to "knit" into something useful.Pics to come.

I've been playing around with some second hand kimono fabric which will miraculously turn into stylish cushions.
