Bags for my neices

I don't see them very often, they are 12 and 9 and I hope they will like that their Aunty has taken the handmade pledge and made them each a bag for Christmas.
Next one for me I will line and put in a zipper pocket and perhaps a matching mobile sock.

Birthday Present for Zoe

Nearly there, Christmas that is. Presents for children only this year and Christmas dinner in Queensland, so no me caught in the melee. I have subscribed to the handmade pledge and made lots of things.
This is compendium for my sister-in-law's birthday on the 23rd, rather happy with this one, hope she is. Man-about-the house thinks it's terrific!
Made two felt bags for my neices, almost finished will post tomorrow, my boys thought they made great hats.

The simple things

I took a friends beautiful four year old daughter on a walk with my adolescent border collie. The little one did trip over and skin her knee but as determined as she is, she soldiered on.
On our walk we found Mr. Grasshopper and all his friends, Miss Golden butterfly, and the teeny blue butterfly. We waited for the pony to come but he was busy off over the hill and didn't want to play today. We stopped often, looking closely at all our wonderful discoveries, all the while chatting and musing about the world. The doggy finally settled into his walk and showed me that he actually had been listening in Obedience class.
My little friend's Mum is having another bub and was peacefully resting on my couch while we were out, this was a wonderful gift for us both, she rested and I got to remember how simple life is through the eyes of her daughter.

This is what I call my "Hello Baby" wrap for newborns, it's fleece felted on to muslin with silk embellishments all in the shape of a heart and makes a wonderful gift.

Another sign?

<
Lost major contract from the other world of "Events" and felt initially a bit miffed and then some thoughts occurred to me like, gee where did the pain in my neck go that I have been carrying around with me for weeks while negotiations were taking place? The lack of energy from which I was going to consult the naturopath for, suddenly replaced by my familiar pep and verve! Further evidence perhaps the universe is steering my in my new direction, however a bit worrisome on the financial side, but a friend reminded me of the "jump and the net will appear" statement, so here I am jumping.

This scarf is commission and is fleece and silk embellishments on pure wool kimono lining which makes for a very refined piece.

This another commission for the local Steiner inspired toy store for their door.

So stay tuned for further craftiness with my new store on etsy!
